News » RSI Team Supports Beck Shootout Fundraiser

In October a team from RSI competed in a fundraiser shootout to raise money for Metropolitan Ministries. The Beck Group sponsors the shootout yearly at FishHawk Sporting Clays forty-five minutes from downtown Tampa in Lithia, FL. The site has the perfect deep-woods atmosphere to create an ideal setting for the event. RSI also assisted in sponsoring the fundraiser.

Metropolitan Ministries provided lunch, and then the 97 shooters covered the two courses at the site.  The RSI team enjoyed the opportunity to have fun while helping such a worthwhile cause, especially since they managed to avoid the dubious honor of winning the last place prize (which went to the members of the Beck Architecture team).

Those who’d rather rely on luck rather than their shooting skills could purchase raffle tickets to support Metropolitan Ministries. The raffle provided prizes such as baskets full of gift cards, goodies, or sports memorabilia, and the grand prize included a donation by FishHawk Sporting Clays: 50 Clays plus a year membership. 

The shootout raised $23,000 for the homeless and poor families of Metropolitan Ministries, and RSI is looking forward to participating again next year.
