News » Project Complete: University of Texas MER Cleanroom Expansion
RSI has completed its final pour on the University of Texas at Austin Micro Electronics Research (MER) Cleanroom expansion at the JJ Pickle Research Facility.
The total project required 2,745 cubic yards of concrete and 1,350 linear feet of concrete underground cooling tunnel walls. RSI’s work also included creating acid waste tank storage.
While not a large project, the project had many logistical challenges, the biggest being working alongside the existing cleanroom facility which remained open and operational throughout RSI’s work.
RSI was chosen for this project based on our excellent safety record and our willingness to go above and beyond with regards to planning and accommodating extreme logistical conditions.
RSI worked with the general contractor, Flintco, on this challenging and demanding project.
