News » RSI Awarded Salvador Condominiums Project
RSI will be providing cast-in-place concrete services for the new Salvador condominiums project in downtown St. Petersburg, including the foundations, vertical work, and two post-tensioned structural decks totaling just under 50,000 square feet. The work is slated to take 20 weeks.
To meet the owner’s aggressive budget, Kellogg & Kimsey and RSI divided the building into its two structural components, the cast-in-place portion and the hollow-core portion.
“The budgeting and negotiation process was a total team effort between Kellogg & Kimsey and RSI,” said Steve Whitley, CEO. “Although we’ve performed well on past hollow-core jobs, it worked well for us to end up with a portion of work that is in our sweet spot. I think it’s a real win-win for the Owner, K&K, and RSI and we’re looking forward to a great job together.”
Inspired by Salvador Dali and designed by Mesh Architecture, the 74 Salvador residences will feature artful and innovative living in St. Pete’s first green-certified condominium tower. Home sizes will range from 964 – 2,795 square feet with numerous luxuries both inside and out, including an expansive 11,000 square foot third-floor amenity deck.
RSI will work closely with general contractor Kellogg & Kimsey to ensure on-time and within budget completion.
