News » Project Update: Bal Harbour Shops, Miami
RSI’s work on its turnkey concrete package for the Bal Harbour Shops expansion project has begun. The work includes a new helix ramp for the existing parking garage, as well as the construction of a new 6-story, 405,000 square foot parking garage on 96th Street to support the expanded retail space.
The new parking garage will have 2775 tons of rebar; 20,753 cubic yards of concrete; and 258,140 square feet of precast. RSI’s work on Bal Harbour Shops also includes a new north entrance to the mall, which has been completed.
RSI has been coordinating with the general contractor and other trades on the project to complete all construction with minimal impact to the stores in the high-end shopping mall that includes more than 100 global brands, including Chanel, Gucci and Tiffany & Co.
RSI will continue working closely with joint venture general contractor, Brodson/Coastal/Tishman, for on-time and on-budget completion of the concrete portion of the project.
