New Gainesville Student Housing Project

RSI is providing a turnkey concrete package for Next Level, two new student apartment buildings in Gainesville, FL.  The commercial concrete work includes foundations, columns, beams, an extensive amount of cast-in-place walls and 15” structural “podium” decks.  The project has aggressive schedule demands: RSI has 16 weeks to complete both structural decks.

The new buildings will contain 170 apartments with 600 bedrooms to house University of Florida students. Student housing has come a long way: Amenities will include a podium-level swimming pool, hot tub, fitness center, and study lounges. The fully furnished apartments will contain stainless appliances, quartz countertops, European cabinetry, flat-screen televisions, and closet organizers.

The project is designed by Hochhauser Blatter Architects of Santa Barbara, CA and the general contractor is Beal Derkenne Construction of Des Moines, IA. RSI is coordinating closely with them to ensure on-time and within-in budget completion of the new apartments.
