RSI continues to make good progress on the commercial concrete for what will be a beautiful structure on the beach.  We are now on the 8th floor of the east tower and the 3rd floor of the west tower of the 321 Ocean Drive condominium project in Miami Beach, Florida.
RSI’s work includes all the concrete construction from foundations through the post-tensioned roof deck.  The project has roughly 140,000 gross square feet of space, of which about 105,000 square feet is post-tensioned concrete deck.  RSI started the project in late November, with the turnkey commercial concrete work scheduled for on-time completion.

The primary challenges of the project have been an extremely small site and the fact that it is wedged between two occupied mid-rise condominiums.  Coastal Construction has been providing superior construction management and has been great at facilitating the flow of the work. 

“The teamwork between Coastal and RSI has been great,” said Steve Whitley, RSI’s President.  “Without everyone working together within such a tight jobsite, it would be nearly impossible to get things done.  Teamwork and tight coordination have been a real key to making this project work.”
